Camping Spots Near Alcoa, TNTennessee is a beautiful state with lots of great opportunities for outdoor recreation. If you’re lucky enough to live in the Alcoa area, then you probably already know of some great camping spots. However, just in case you don’t, we’ll share a few of our favorites with you.

Yarberry Campground

Yarberry campground is located in Lenoir City on the shores of Fort Loudoun Lake. The big level campsites are perfect for both large RVs and tents, so you’ll have a great time no matter what your camping style. Each site is equipped with power and water for your convenience, and there are two air conditioned and heated bathhouses. Picnic tables and fire rings, around which you’re sure to make some great memories, are also provided at each site. To make your trip even more special, rent a paddleboard or pontoon boat to take out on the lake.

Cactus Cove Campground

You’ll have an enjoyable and convenient stay at Cactus Cove Campground thanks to its cental location in Louisville. It puts you close enough to urban locations so you can see the sites, but you’ll be far enough away that you can relax in nature and feel removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. This family-friendly campground is right on the lake, so bring your boat and your fishing pole to make it a camping trip you’ll always remember. Campsites here are equipped with hookups for RVs as well.

Big Meadow Family Campground

If you’re looking for a quiet place to camp with your family while you explore the Great Smoky Mountains, then Big Meadow Family Campground in Townsend is the place for you. This award-winning campground has all the amenities you need to make your stay a great one. If you’re traveling in a large RV, reserve one of the pull-through sites with a concrete pad. They’re equipped with 30 and 50 amp power. Bring your furry friend along, they’ll love playing in the fenced dog park, and kids will have a blast at the playground complete with a splash pad.

Little River Campground

When you come to Little River Campground, also in Townsend, you’ll immediately feel more relaxed and connected to nature. The mature trees and picturesque river make the perfect setting for a weekend getaway. Premium sites have both 50 and 30-amp power available, and a few even back right up to the river for amazing views.

For those who don’t have an RV and prefer to enjoy nature from a cabin, you can rent one of the glamping cabins here that feature a porch with views of the river. They also have amenities such as air conditioning, a shower, and an efficiency kitchen.

No matter what type of camping you enjoy, you can find a great campground in the Alcoa, Tennessee, area.
