Whether you’re interested in a sedan, an SUV, or a truck, you’ll find an electric version at your local Toyota dealer. In addition to the existing favorites in Toyota’s electric and hybrid lineup, there are also some newcomers. Let’s take a look at the new Toyota electric vehicles for 2024.

bZ4X

The bZ4X is new to the Toyota lineup for 2024, and it’s a sporty SUV that attracts attention. Its sleek silhouette, low bumper, and rear spoiler all enhance the athletic appearance, but they’re also aerodynamic. This all-electric SUV is full of features, such as a panoramic roof, leather-trimmed steering wheel, 12.3-inch touchscreen, and Toyota Safety Sense.

Power and Performance

This zero-emissions vehicle uses an AC synchronous electric generator that delivers 201 hp and 196 lb-ft of torque. Because it is all-electric and doesn’t have gears or gas, it has almost instant acceleration. The bZ4Z comes with front-wheel drive, but it’s available in all-wheel drive with X-MODE. This feature allows you to easily change braking, throttle, and traction to handle difficult terrain.

Battery and Charging

The bZ4X uses a 71.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. With a full charge, it has a range of 252 miles. You can charge it at home using the included portable dual-voltage charging cable that can plug into both 120V and 240V outlets. You can also use a public charging station, which is very useful when traveling.

Mirai

The Mirai is another new addition to the Toyota family. It is a sleek, stylish sedan with a fuel cell system. It’s loaded with luxurious features, such as Smart Key System, power adjustable front seats, 12.3-inch touchscreen, Star Safety System, and premium JBL audio system. It comes with ToyotaCare, which includes roadside assistance and no-cost scheduled maintenance for 3 years.

Power and Performance

The Mirai has an innovative drivetrain called a fuel cell system. It uses 3 hydrogen tanks, and filling them only takes 5 minutes. The hydrogen combines with the oxygen in the air to create the electricity that runs the vehicle. This results in zero emissions, cleaner air, and a more eco-conscious ride.

The Mirai is an all-wheel drive vehicle, giving you more traction and control even in more challenging conditions.

Battery and Charging

The Mirai is primarily powered by hydrogen, but it does have a lithium-ion battery. However, unlike the traditional battery you find in most electric vehicles, this one doesn’t need to be charged. When fully fueled with hydrogen, it has a range of 402 miles.
