Modern vehicles have more tech features than ever before, and every year the new cars available at your Toyota dealer get more advanced. Modern technological features largely consist of convenience, safety, and entertainment-based features, so let’s explore a few that you’ll find on today’s Toyota cars.

1. An Audio Multimedia System

Today’s Toyota vehicles have an audio multimedia system packed full of features to keep you connected to the world even while you’re in the car for hours at a time. Some vehicles have Wi-Fi available in them, too.

The multimedia system lets you connect your phone to the car so you can stream music and access smartphone apps through the multimedia screen. The system also has built-in apps and can be controlled via a touchscreen and with your voice.

2. A Suite of Safety Features

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is a suite of driver assistance features that enhance safety under numerous circumstances that can arise while driving. For instance, your car can detect obstacles in your path and warn you about them so you can stop the car. If you can’t act fast enough, then your car can activate the brakes to keep you safe.

Other features help you avoid accidentally drifting out of your lane, maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you, and monitor road signs. Your Toyota essentially acts as a co-pilot to help you feel more secure while driving.

3. Traffic Jam Assist

Traffic jams are one of the worst parts of driving, so some Toyota models are equipped with Traffic Jam Assist, which can take over when you’re driving in stop-and-go traffic. If you’re driving under 25 mph, then your car can handle the steering, accelerating, and braking on limited access roadways during traffic jams.

4. Digital Rear View Mirror

The digital rearview mirror available on some Toyota models gives you a clearer view of the area behind your car. Adjusting the mirror’s position will adjust the view you get through the camera. You can also zoom in and out when using this feature. At night, the camera can make dark scenes brighter and reduce the glare from the headlights on the cars behind you.

5. Panoramic View Monitor

Want to see the whole area around your car? The panoramic view monitor available on some models lets you do that. Four cameras around your vehicle create a panoramic view that you can monitor on your infotainment screen.
