The 2023 Toyota Corolla hatchback is a compact car with comfortable seats and a great deal of technology features. As a Toyota dealer, we have an up-close look at its large touchscreen, advanced driver-assist features, and more. Read on to learn about the great qualities we’re noticing in this excellent hatchback.

A Fuel-Efficient Choice

Toyota’s SE trim level offers drivers a vehicle that achieves 32 miles to the gallon in the city and 41 on the highway. You’ll be able to track your average fuel economy, speed, and trip distance on a 4.2-inch multi-information display. The XSE trim elevates this screen to a fully customizable seven-inch digital gauge cluster.

The manufacturer has made it easy for drivers to achieve the optimized experience they’re after with three driving modes. Eco mode lets you prioritize fuel efficiency over everything else, helping you avoid a stop at the fuel station. Normal mode will balance performance with fuel economy. Sport mode lets you really feel your compact car accelerate as it optimizes the vehicle for performance.

A Comfortable Interior

Comfortable, fabric sports seats welcome the driver to the front of the SE trim level. A six-way adjustable driver’s seat allows you to get the settings just the way you like them. The XSE adds contoured bolsters and two-stage heating technology to the driver and front passenger seats. Drivers of the XSE trim also enjoy elevated SofTex trim with fabric inserts.

Fortunately, the comfort features extend to the premium leather-trimmed steering wheel with paddle shifters. Other great features include remote keyless entry, push-button start, and Bluetooth hands-free technology.

Advanced Infotainment

Toyota has equipped the compact hatchback with a large touchscreen measuring eight inches. Wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto integration makes it easy to access your favorite smartphone apps. Your Corolla comes with a three-month Platinum Plan trial subscription to SiriusXM, allowing you to discover new music while you drive. Wireless smartphone charging is standard on the XSE, meaning you won’t need to carry your charging cord with you.

Safety Assist Technology

Advanced safety assist technology is readily at hand thanks to the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 standard package. A pre-collision system with pedestrian detection watches for obstacles at the front of the vehicle. Automatic high beams adjust the settings on your LED headlights for you. A lane departure warning lets you know when the vehicle is drifting and a steering assist makes sure you’re safely in your lane.

An available rear-cross traffic alert with blind sport warning indicators makes it easier to be aware of obstacles around your vehicle. This feature is standard on the XSE and available for the SE in the SE package.
