The 2023 Toyota Corolla hybrid has undergone a complete refresh, bringing some additional luxurious features to the model and improving upon the highly efficient and reliable powertrain that the model has become known for.

What’s New for 2023

The 2023 Corolla hybrid comes with a standard 1.8L four-cylinder engine supported by dual electric motors to produce 134 horsepower at an impressive combined 50 MPG in the LE and XLE trims, and 47 MPG for the SE variants.

For the 2023 model year, Toyota has implemented a number of updates to the hybrid Corolla, including expanding the previous single trim level to three distinct variants: the LE, the SE, and the XLE. The SE trim level comes with an optional Infrared package that offers interior and exterior red accents and unique 18-inch alloy wheels.

Additionally, Toyota has added its advanced Safety Sense 3.0 software to all trim levels, giving drivers access to active safety technology that can help prevent collisions on the road. AWD is also an available option across all trims.

Two Standout Features to Ask Your Toyota Dealer About

Standard ToyotaCare and Warranty Coverage

Toyota’s reputation for reliability is supported by its robust offerings of complimentary maintenance and roadside assistance, as well as a generous standard warranty plan. Roadside assistance is offered for two years, with no mile limit, while complimentary maintenance is offered for two years or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The limited warranty for the Corolla covers the first three years or 36,000 miles, while the powertrain is covered separately for five years, or 60,000 miles. However, it’s important to note that the hybrid components within the powertrain are covered under their own distinct set of warranties for a longer period, with the system covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles and the battery is covered for ten years or 150,000 miles.

Strong Safety Features

The newest model of the Corolla hybrid offers a wide range of standard safety features through its software suite, including automatic emergency front braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic headlights and high beams, and road sign recognition.

Higher-level trims also come with additional safety features, including rear emergent braking, front and rear parking assist functionality, and curve-adaptive headlights that follow the path of your vehicle to make night driving safer.
