The Toyota RAV4 is a powerful SUV that comes with great driver assist features in the standard trim level. This car has fun infotainment features and a smart interior design.

1. Many Driver Assist Features Come Standard

You don’t have to upgrade to a higher trim level or pay for a lot of add-ons here. You can get great Driver Assist features with the RAV4 at the base level. These include automated emergency braking paired with pedestrian detection. It also comes with lane features like lane departure warning and lane-keeping assist.

Adaptive cruise control is another feature that comes standard. The RAV4 is well-equipped with the kinds of safety features that make navigating busy suburban neighborhoods a lot easier.

2. Infotainment Options

The base level trims have an 8.0-inch touchscreen while the higher level trims expand this to 10.5 inches. The touchscreen can be activated with voice recognition by saying, “Hey, Toyota”.  It comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is the option to add a wireless charging station for your phone.

Toyota’s new infotainment system comes standard, which has the capability for wireless updates. The gauge cluster comes with a standard 7.0-inch display. The higher trim levels have the option to expand this to a 12.3-inch display.

3. Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid Options

The Hybrid Woodland gets a combined 37 miles to the gallon. The Hybrid XSE gets a combined 40 miles to the gallon. The plug-in hybrid gets an estimated 42 miles of all-electric power.

The electric vehicle has proven popular here because it’s surprisingly powerful and provides a quick response. Drivers who spend a lot of time in cities or the suburbs appreciate the way the hybrid option handles stop-and-go traffic.

4. Smart Storage

In the front seats, the driver will enjoy the large center console. The area was designed to be useful, evidenced by the wide shelf in the dashboard on the passenger side.

In the back, you’ll find seats that easily fold down and create a ton of space for a large payload. With the seats folded down you can fit 22 carry-on suitcases. With the seats up and in use, you can still fit 10 carry-on suitcases behind the seats. There are 40.0 inches from the rear seats to the back.

An important part of what makes the RAV4 such a solid choice is that it’s quite a few years in. Previous years have proven this model is a solid choice, especially for navigating suburban life. This proven model remains a powerful SUV, now with more of the advanced safety and technology features today’s drivers want. Visit Rick McGill’s Airport Toyota now to see our new cars.
